Transportation
The San Jacinto Unified School District has contracted with Hemet Unified School District (HUSD) to provide student transportation. Bus routes and stops are jointly planned by HUSD and the District; HUSD provides drivers, facilities, maintenance, and administrative staff using District buses.
Our goal is to transport all eligible students to and from their destination in the safest and most cost-effective manner.
The San Jacinto Unified School District provides transportation for regular education students that live outside of the specified walking distance of their resident school. The Board of Trustees has established these walking distances, in accordance with Board Policy 3540.
On March 9, 2023, the Board of Trustees established the following walking distances to qualify for bus services:
Elementary Schools - 1.5 miles
Middle Schools - 3 miles
High School - 4 miles
There are Riverside Transit Authority (RTA) bus routes to or near our school sites; bus passes are available throughout the community at a discounted rate for students. Click here to visit RTA's website for routes, schedules and bus pass information.
